What we like
- Compounded GLP-1 plans bundle medication in a flat published price
- Initial labs at Quest or Labcorp included at no extra cost for medication-included programs (except NY, NJ, RI)
- Self-serve cancellation in app or web portal
Watch out for
- Noom's own pages list conflicting recurring prices ($249 vs $279/mo) for the same GLP-1Rx plan
- Compounded GLP-1 programs not available in Alabama, Louisiana or Mississippi
- Branded-medication plan fee excludes the drug itself and is not covered by insurance or Medicare
- Parent company settled a 2022 class action over auto-renewal and cancellation practices
Cancelling
Cancel in the app (Settings > Manage Subscription), via the web Subscription Portal, or through the app store if bought there; for GLP-1Rx the plan stays active to the end of the current cycle, and support@noom.com must be emailed to stop pending medication refills. General FAQ: initial charges refundable if requested within 14 days; renewal charges not refundable. Separate Noom Med refund policy not retrieved.
Where it is available
Compounded GLP-1Rx program: all US states except Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi (per Noom GLP-1Rx page as indexed). DC not mentioned. Other Noom pages say only 'not available in all 50 states'.
- 2022-02 Noom agreed to pay $56M plus $6M in subscription credits to settle a New York federal class action alleging auto-renewal and cancellation practices on its subscriptions (pre-dates Noom Med). Source ↗
