What to compare, and why

The all-in price, not the headline. A low monthly fee often leaves out medication, lab panels or follow-up visits. Check whether labs say "Included" or "Billed separately", then run the numbers in our annual care cost calculator.

Who prescribes. A physician, a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant can all prescribe legally. What matters is that a licensed clinician reviews your history and labs before prescribing, and that you can reach them afterwards.

Cancellation terms. Subscriptions that renew automatically and only cancel by phone are the most common complaint in telehealth reviews. The Cancellation row tells you how hard it is to leave.

The public record. FDA warning letters, state board actions and lawsuits are listed in the Regulatory / legal record row. "None found" means we searched and found nothing, not that nothing exists.

How each row is scored is set out in our scoring rubric.

Comparison tool questions

Can I compare any two telehealth companies?

Yes. Pick any two of the 40 companies we review and the tool lines them up on the same rows: our score, starting price, services, consult model, prescriber, labs, insurance, state availability, cancellation terms, Trustpilot rating, and regulatory record.

Where do the numbers come from?

Each row comes from the company review, which is researched from the provider's own published pricing, terms and FAQs, state licensing information, and public regulatory and court records. Every review lists its sources.

What does the score measure?

Our 10-point score rates price transparency, whether labs are included, state availability, cancellation terms and treatment range on a published rubric. Who prescribes and the public record are shown alongside but not scored. It does not measure clinical outcomes. A provisional score (*) means one or two criteria could not be verified.

Can I share a comparison?

Yes. The address bar updates as you choose, so copying the link shares the exact pair you are looking at.

Do companies pay to appear here?

No. Where a company pays a referral fee when a reader signs up through our link, its visit button is labelled "Paid link", and it is scored on the same rubric as everyone else.
